If your interest is nothing else but to learn the South African Indigenous language spoken and culture practiced in an area, TALK Tourism will organise a fun but insightful learning activity tailor-made to suit your learning needs. In our typical community-based tourism style, we arrange a short (three to five days) immersion for you with a family of the TALK Helper (a language and culture ‘teacher’).

Through a combination of guided conversations and fun assignments that gets you to interact with the locals in public places, you will learn to greet, bid farewell, give and receive compliments, and remark about the environment. You will also recognise and pronounce basic words spoken in a target African language. In the process you will learn about the local culture, embrace diversity and increase your confidence in relating to people whose cultural background is African.
