If you are interested in learning about a South African indigenous culture and something of its related language, Phaphama will organise a practical home stay for you with a family in the community.

With your teacher, you will learn about the local African culture, embrace diversity and have fun spending time with people probably from a different background to your own. Some of the language you will learn includes greeting and introducing yourself in your new African name. Plus you will be able to give and receive compliments and remark about the environment. By the end of your visit you will be recognising and pronouncing basic words spoken in the target African language.

You will be accompanied on this journey by our specially trained language and culture teachers, whether for just a couple of days or up to several weeks. The duration of the visit is tailored to your needs.
